Spring is officially here, and we're exploring the best trends this new season is offering. Find our spring hair and nail trends here. This week, we're moving on to spring 2026's makeup trends in case you want to freshen up your look!
"Your Skin But Better": The focus this spring is on proper skin prep and using foundations that allow your natural complexion to shine through (rather than heavy, full-coverage foundation). Need some help with a skincare routine? Start here.
Satin-Finish Skin: The other trend you'll be seeing this spring is a more satin-like finish in foundations rather than the ultra-dewy finishes of past seasons. Satin finishes are more realistic but polished.
Soft Sculpting: You'll see movement away from contouring and instead a trend toward sculpting using products like bronzer for a softer, sun-kissed, natural finish.
"Cloud" and Watercolor Blush: This spring, try applying your blush in a watercolor, or soft-focus style, blending upward to the temples for a cloud-like look. This works best with softer, more natural colors in liquid or cream formulas.
"Blurry" and Cloud Lips: In the same vein as cloud-like blush are cloud-like lips. Soft, diffused-edge lips are trending in rose and mauve colors that are matte but natural-looking. Apply a matte liquid lipstick at the center of your lips and blend outward for a blurred edge.
Watercolor and Pastel Lids: Pretty pastels aren't just trending on the nails--they're also trending on the eyes! This is a chance to play with color--try icy blue, lavender, green, and other pastel colors blended for a diffused, cloud-like effect.
Pops of Color: Don't be afraid to get bold. Keep your base makeup soft and add a little bit of bold color in coral, orange, or peach on the cheeks or lips.
