Last week, we talked about this spring's hair trends, so now it's time to explore this season's nail trends! From polish colors to nail art, we're delving into spring 2026's nail trends.
Nail Polish:
Cloud Dancer White: Pantone's 2026 Color of the Year is an airy, warm white that looks great with any skin tone to lighten up the nails for warmer weather. (OPI's Funny Bunny and Essie's Marshmallow are good examples.) Plus, whites and lighter colors naturally make your fingers look longer.
Misty Blue: Soft, pale blue with a milky finish is another fun transitional winter-to-spring color. Light blues make you think of coastal seas and calm skies, and who doesn't want a bit of that right now? (Try Manicurist's Mist Gray.)
Earthy Neutrals: These are already trending in the interior decorating world, so why not on your nails, too? Try chocolate browns, charcoal gray, sage green, olive, or terra cotta for a calming, organic feel on the nails (or go darker and add a bit of natural drama). Try OPI's Cargo All Out.
Muted Rose: Soft, romantic pinks are trending this season, especially ones with a bit of a pearlescent effect. Roses, mauves, pastels--you name it, all can act as a pretty neutral on your fingertips.
Buttery Yellow: Pastel yellow is a perfect color to trend in the spring and brighten up those gray winter skies! Look for a creamy pastel shade with a little bit of shimmer, like OPI's Buttafly or Essie's Atelier at the Bay.
Iridescent Pearl: Use it as a topper for your favorite polish to transform your shade into something special or on its own for a subtle, natural shimmer. OPI's Glazed and Amused will act as both a nice topper and standalone polish.
Sunny Orange: Light orange and tangerine shades are making an appearance this spring. They add warmth and depth to your digits, and Olive & June's Sweet Gracious or Essie's Light and Fairy are the perfect candy-colored shades to put a pop of color into your day.
Cherry Red: Does red ever go out of style, though? Cherry red is playful and bright, and OPI's Big Red Apple is a fun color to help you embrace the red trend.
Lavender: Dreamy, airy lavender is the ultimate spring shade. Get this shade with OPI's Purple Palazzo Pants or Poparazzi's Lavish Lavender. Add a pearly glaze on the top for more dreamy fun.
Periwinkle: Similar to the blueberry milk trend, this is a creamy light blue that can sway warm or cool, depending on what you choose. OPI's Verified is a great option.
Mocha Mousse: Creamy light browns are trending, and these neutrals look great on almost any skin tone. OPI's Espresso Your Inner Self is a pretty, creamy espresso brown.
Pistachio: This is a calming shade of green, perfect for spring. Try one with gray undertones for a more muted finish, like Ella + Mila's Evergreen.
Nail Art:
Micro French Tips: Thin, delicate, minimalist tips in white or pastel colors are trending this season. They're great for all lengths, but can make short nails look a little longer.
Gem Nails: Fun, nostalgic bedazzled nails are taking center stage this season. Rhinestones, iridescent dots, and sparkles in a variety of shapes and colors are adding a little something extra to those spring manis.
Ribbed Nails: Think: those fancy glasses you only take out during the holidays. The subtle, same-colored stripes add depth to an otherwise solid manicure. Ribbed designs look great with magnetic manis, as the translucent stripes sit atop the shiny polish.
Cat-eye swirls: Magnetic looks aren't going anywhere, and this proves it! This look features cat's eye manicures with extra swirls that give the nail an almost silky effect.
Striped Nails: Preppy horizontal lines in thin, colorful stripes are all the rage, whether as a French tip, diagonally placed, or across just the center of the nail. They're fun and subtle enough to be fully wearable.
Animal Print: Fine-lined, subtle animal prints are making their move onto our nails in 2026, like petite fawn spots, but we're definitely seeing bold tiger stripes too.
Soft Ombre: Ombre is always a fun nail design because it's highly customizable. This season is all about soft transitions, so use some of those trending colors like lavender and white to create a barely-there ombre French nail.
