Fall Nail Trends

Freshly painted bronze nails holding a coffee mug

Fall is on its way, whether we're ready for the changing leaves or still want to cling to the summer sunlight. Autumn is a great time to shake up your beauty routine, as we all adjust to changing school schedules and cooler weather, and begin to pull out those warmer clothes. We talked last week about transitioning your summer skincare into fall. This week, we've got some of the best fall nail trends to keep your nails looking amazing, whether you're a solid-color person or are into nail art. (Why should I get a manicure?)

  1. Milky white nail polish

Milky White: Milky nails have been trending all year long, and they're not going anywhere--for a good reason. White looks great on pretty much everybody, and it's a classic color. Choose a transparent topcoat to achieve that shiny, light-catching milky effect, and your nails will be stunning.

Spilled burgundy nail polish
  1. Black Cherry (or burgundy): Deep, rich reds are a perennial fall trend for a reason. They're gorgeous, flattering on all skin tones, and reflect the vibes of the season so well. Choose a polish with a glossy finish to make it look extra luxe.

    Pastel nails with polka dots

    3. Polka Dots: Nail art trend alert! We've been seeing polka dots trending in fashion all over the place, and now they're making their mark on nail art. Opt for accent nails with tiny dots, like above, or play around with polka dots in fall colors, over magnetized or chrome bases, or with french tips. The options are endless!

Pink nail art on almond shaped nails
  1. Mix & Match: The new trend in nail art is to try a couple different designs on your fingers! Check out the set above with a pink gradient, milky white nail, and milky white base with pink art. Everything works together because the colors match, but the design is different. Don't be afraid to play with colors and designs, just make sure that the undertones are similar so that your design looks cohesive.

Brown glittery nail polish
  1. Brown: This seems like the most humble and unassuming of colors to be trending, but brown has been having a moment this year, and it's not slowing down as we head into autumn. There are plenty of hues to choose from that can flatter any skin tone, whether you prefer a dark, earthy brown or want a lighter tan shade. Nature offers inspiration everywhere, so take a walk outside and find your favorite shade!

As the seasons change, it's fun to play with new shades, art, and styles to reflect the new time of year. Want a manicure, nail art, or simply a polish change?
