Fall 2026 Nail Trends

Last week, we talked about fall 2026's hair trends. This week, we're moving on to fall 2026's nail trends so you can have some fun with your nail color and maybe even play with some nail art!

Nail Polish Color Trends:

• Cozy Browns: Earthy clays and camel browns are making an appearance this fall over the tried-and-true espressos, which are nice, lighter shades for the transitional weather. Browns with just a hint of red are also trending.

• Cherry Red: This fruity tone will be featured on tips this fall, and is sophisticated without being too dark or deep. Its cool undertone makes it a good color for fall, although you can find one with brown undertones and opt for a cherry-cola color instead.

• Earthy Greens: Earthy greens have been trending in the decor world forever, so why not on nails, too? Moss, khaki green, olive, and deep, forest green are all slated to be popular this season.

• Molten silver: It's the Y2K color of the season. Or you can think about it as jewelry for your nails. Go with this any way you want--accented, as a French tip, or a full manicure. You won't be able to stop staring at your gorgeously shiny nails.

• Sapphire: This jewel tone isn't one that's normally trending in the fall, yet looks perfectly at home on nails this season. Its beautiful tones add depth and dimension, especially when you add a glitter topper.

• Vampy Colors: These not-quite-black colors are an autumnal certainty. Merlots, midnight purples, burgundies, and chrome grays are all great choices when you're feeling moody.

Nail Art Trends:

• Plaid and Tartan Nails: Match your nails to your coat with a cozy plaid design. Do the full manicure or just an accent nail.

• Leopard and Animal Print: This is really timeless, but the patterns will look great with fall's cozy brown colors.

• French tips: But use brown or burgundy for the tips instead of the classic white.

• Sweater Textures: Matte knitted patterns are extra fun on the nails during the fall.

• Tortoiseshell: This one has been trending for a while, but it remains popular for good reason!

Pedicure Color Trends:

Just for fun, treat yourself and wear something different this fall!

• Denim: Just like jeans are neutral and go with everything, so does denim-colored polish.

• Full-bodied Reds: Think classic wine red, which is perfect and moody for the fall.

• Toasty Brown: Any brown, from ambers to espressos and everything in between, looks great on the toes during the fall.

• Black Patent Leather: A shiny black pedicure is rich and luxurious looking, no matter what you pair it with.

• Amethyst Jelly: Steal from summer's jelly nail polish and jelly shoe trends, and put it on your toes, but in a fall color! It's slightly transparent, but also looks great layered with a little glitter.

• Goldenrod: A gorgeous fall color that's not usually seen on a pedicure. We think it's time to change that!

• Olive: Trendy on the nails, trendy on the toes. It's rich and earthy, and is a great summer-to-fall color choice when you're not quite ready for moodier, darker greens.
