New Year, New Routine: Beauty Habits for Beautiful Skin

Happy new year! Whether you're dedicated to your skincare routine or think you need to start one, there are always tips and tricks we can pick up to have glowy, beautiful skin.
Here are the beauty habits you can try this year to get beautiful skin:
Take off that makeup: If you use makeup wipes, try reusable makeup eraser wipes. You use them the same way as a makeup wipe; just get them wet and wipe off your makeup. If you don't like makeup wipes, try double cleansing, first with a cleansing balm or oil cleanser, depending on your skin type. (Don't know your skin type? Check out our guide here.)
Apply SPF: We've said it a lot--but if you're not in the habit of applying sunscreen every day, make it a goal for the new year to protect your skin.
Be consistent with your routine: Whether it's a simple routine or you love your 10-step skincare routine, stick to it. If you're just getting started, all you need is to cleanse, use a serum, moisturize, and use SPF in the morning. And don't forget to extend your skincare to your neck and chest! Wash your makeup brushes: Ideally, you'll wash your brushes weekly to prevent buildup on the brushes and breakouts on your skin.
Hydrate: Getting plenty of water each day is good for your skin. If you don't like plain water, try adding some flavor with a green tea bag (bonus points for the antioxidants) or fruit.
Exercise: Movement is good for circulation, which delivers nutrients all over your body (including your skin). It also reduces stress and improves sleep.
Get your shut-eye: Speaking of sleep--make getting your 6-8 hours a priority this year. Good sleep directly impacts overall health, including skin health.
Watch what you eat: Foods with good nutrients will naturally help your skin. Foods rich in collagen will also help improve skin elasticity (bone broth, chicken, meat, and eggs).
Practice mindfulness: Mindfulness, such as giving yourself positive feedback instead of negative feedback, meditating, and being aware of how you feel (and why you feel that way) will help reduce stress as well, which will reflect in your whole body (but definitely on your skin).
These are some suggestions to help you get beautiful skin in the new year! Self-care is just as important as your regular skincare routine, so make sure to give yourself the much-needed time you deserve.
